Novation provides, inter alia, in part IV of the CIVIL CODE governing the rights of intellectual property. It introduces the article 1253, which States that information intermediaries — entities that carry out the transfer of material on the Internet or provide the possibility of placing material in this network is responsible for violation of intellectual property rights on the Internet.
